Spotimy Record Collection

This is an app designed to circumvent the control over our listening habits that streaming sites exert through their algorithms.

I missed my record collection, both physically and from my MP3 player, where if I didn't know what i wanted to listen to, I would go through the collection from A-Z until I found something that fitted the bill. Spotify always seemed to lead me back to Phoebe Bridgers, no matter where I was trying to get to (no offence meant, it just really seems to like her)

The app lets you recreate your real record collection, or build an imaginary one from albums on Spotify. Browse the covers, pull an album off the shelf, and listen. You can find albums by searching, or by going through your Spotify listening history (although they make that complicated)

Connect your Spotify login to build your collection, or have a look around first.

The album list is stored as a playlist named 'My Spotify Record Collection' in your Spotify account
